Think Like A Man

The story line for "Think Like a Man" is nothing groundbreaking. Every rom-com touches on men wanting sex and women wanting a man to sweep them off their feet — with both unsatisfied until everything is tied into a neat bow in the last five minutes.

Based on the Steve Harvey book "Act like a Lady, Think like a Man," the film follows a group of men who realize their relationships are being infiltrated by Harvey's self-help book. The women are highlighting away at the pages and using every tactic to get what they want out of their affairs. And while many critics claim the movie looks more like an infomercial, what saves the film is the ensemble cast of attractive, talented actors — Michael Ealy, Meagan Good, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson and Regina Hall, to name a few — who deliver mild lines with wit and perfectly hit the punch lines of every joke.

It remains to be seen whether "Think like a Man" will knock "The Hunger Games" off its box-office throne this weekend, but as the reviews pour in, it's looking promising.

Rock duniaku..

Dulu kita sentiasa teruja dengan penampilan artis glamer dan bertenaga terutama bintang rock dan pop. Pernah kami yang waktu itu dalam darjah enam berkeliling pekan dengan membawa sebuah radio kaset yang diletakkan di atas basikal. kami dalam kumpulan sepuluh orang yang masih berunifom sekolah memainkan lagu Micheal Jackson iaitu 'beat it'.. dan 'Billy Jim' hingga ke sekolah berhampiran dan berlagak 'break dance' di atas basikal masing- masing.

Bila di awal sekolah menengah pula kita begitu meminati rancangan gusti yang waktu itu disiarkan pada setiap malam rabu. Salah satu tarikan yang kita sentiasa turut menonton bersama bapa adalah sebilangan ahli gusti yang berpakaian rock iaitu 'The Rockers' dan 'Rock n Roll Express'. Gaya rockers sentiasa menjadi sebahagian hidup kita terutama penampilan, bukan sahaja kita rasa berkeyakinan tetapi juga kita terasa bebas dan punya pendirian biarpun kita sentiasa dipandang pelik dan low class.. pun begitu kita yakin kita bukanlah meniru apa yang keterlaluan dalam budaya rockers. Rasa dan jiwa rockers hingga kini masih terbawa dan hidup...

Roll Hall of Fame

For two of the most legendary bands in metal and hard rock history, it’s the good news / bad news routine, although when it comes to Axl Rose letting everyone down, it should never be any surprise. 



On the eve of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction, Axl announced from his ivory tower that he won’t be coming, big surprise, much like Marlon Brando refused his Academy Award for The Godfather.

Of course, at the same time, that’s not going to stop everyone else from Guns N’ Roses from attending, and hopefully enjoying being inducted, despite Axl pulling his usual sulking sourpuss routine and trying to ruin the party yet again.

In a long, rambling, disingenuous, and stilted statement that Axl decreed to the L.A. Times, Rose claimed that he would "respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns N’ Roses to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf." 

former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar

The rumors are true: former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has returned to WWE and made his presence felt on Monday Night Raw in the show's final segment.
As the company's biggest star was doing an in-ring promo regarding his loss to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at Sunday's Wrestlemania 28, Lesnar came out to a thunderous ovation in front of the Miami crowd.
Dressed in a Lesnar cutoff t-shirt and windpants, he came down to the ring and offered his hand to Cena but gave him an "F-5", his finishing move. He didn't get on the microphone and reveled in the cheers as the show went off the air.
The rumors of Lesnar's return began in earnest as Sunday approached with Wrestling Observer founder Dave Meltzer reporting that MMA's biggest pay-per-view draw over the past few years was in Miami for the event under heavy security. Last week, Johnson was coy when asked if Lesnar could be a future opponent for him at the 2013 Wrestlemania which increased the buzz.
After eight pro bouts, Lesnar retired from MMA last December following a first round defeat to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. According to Meltzer, UFC president Dana White had no issues with Lesnar returning and actually purchased the Wrestlemania pay-per-view to see his friend Johnson in action.

Bangkitlah temanku..

Seharian bersama anak hari ini menyebabkan semua rancangan lain terpaksa ditangguhkan. Bermula sebelah pagi ambil anak di asrama ke pesta buku melihat dan membeli apa yang perlu, selepas itu menghantar ke kelas Violin, sementara kelas muziknya tamat saya berpusing – pusing dalam bandar mencari mesin DCM (Deposit Cash Mechine) membayar hutang tertunggak di Bank Islam dan Bank Rakyat tetapi tak sempat membayar Astro kerana setelah dua lokasi DCM BSN tergendala, keadaan yang sudah biasa jika hari cuti.  Setelah mengerjakan solat asar dirumah saya bergegas pula untuk menghantar anak ke asrama tetapi sebelum itu berhenti sebentar di restoran KFC untuk membeli kiriman rakan seasramanya.

Sesampai di depan pagar sekolah satu panggilan telefon saya terima dan suaranya amat saya kenali. Pengurus artis otai yang masih bertahan biarpun sudah ramai rakan seangkatan dan artis bimbingannya sudah meninggalkan lapangan glamer itu. Rakan ini banyak membantu saya  dan banyak juga saya terhutang budi dengannya sewaktu tinggal di Ulu kelang  lebih 10 tahun dulu.

Sapaan pertama yang ditanya selain perkembangan diri saya adalah keinginannya untuk berkunjung ke tempat saya. Saya mengalu- alukan kedatangannya dengan tangan terbuka dan senang hati

Dalam perjalanan pulang ke rumah saya masih teringat akan rakan itu yang mungkin sehingga hari ini belum lagi berumahtangga, saya teringat betapa kentalnya rakan itu mengharungi dunianya dengan pelbagai cabaran dari turun naik popularitinya hinggalah masalah kewangan dan karenah rakan serta anak buahnya. Saya percaya jika rakan saya itu terus dengan azam dan kekuatan mental dan strategi yang baik Insyallah suatu hari namanya akan meletup dan menjadi buruan semula.

Tetapi ada satu yang membuat saya pelik dan tertanya- tanya apabila saya menerima beberapa sms darinya dan salah satunya adalah “Miss u sayang”…. Opp

Hapuslah Air Matamu, Al Fatihah abang Latiff..

Antara penerbit yang aktif menerbitkan filem satu masa dulu adalah Sabah Filem Production, salah sebuah filem yang begitu berkesan dalam ingatan penonton adalah filem Hapuslah Air Matamu yang ditayangkan pada tahun 1976 iaitu sewaktu saya berumur 2 tahun. Filem yang diarahkan oleh seniman M.Amin yang juga sewaktu hayatnya saya pernah bekerja dibawah arahannya yang saya kenali cukup penyanyang dan kemas cara kerjanya. Filem Hapuslah Air Matamu dibarisi oleh banyak nama- nama besar dan tersohor adunan angkatan P.Ramlee dan generasi selepasnya iaitu Normadiah, Aziz jaafar, Ahmad Nawab, A.R Ayappan dan AK Jailani. Penyanyi tersohor Broery Marantika dan penerbitnya sendiri iaitu Deddy M.Borhan juga memberi sumbangan kepada lakonan berkesan Sharifah Aini dan heronya Latiff Ibrahim. Sebahagian besar pelakon dan karyawan yang menghasilkan filem cereka 105 minit dengan format 35mm itu sudah meninggal dunia termasuklah hari ini 20 febuari 2012 pelakon utama Latiff Ibrahim juga telah menghembuskan nafas terakhir dua hari sebelum harijadinya kerana masalah jantung.

Saya tidaklah biasa sangat dengan Latiff Ibrahim tetapi bila dalam set yang sama saya dapati Latiff Ibrahim seperti juga kakaknya Sophia Ibrahim dan mungkin Kathy Ibrahim juga seorang yang sentiasa kritis dan menumpukan kepada kerjanya tidak banyak kita dapat mengesan ruang gembira dalam diri Latiff Ibrahim tetapi kita akan rasa tenang bila memandang ketenangan wajahnya. Latiff Ibrahim seperti juga angkatan 70-80anya tidak keterlaluan jika saya katakan kebanyakan mereka pandai jaga imej dan tidak terpengaruh dengan buruan glamor murahan.. Al Fatihah untuk abang Latiff.

Singer Whitney Houston has died at age 48

Sources said Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles this afternoon, US entertainment news site TMZ reports. A police crime lab vehicle has been photographed outside the hotel.The singer was filmed leaving a restaurant in LA just last weekend with her on-again off-again boyfriend Ray-J — who is famous for making a sex tape with Kim Kardashian in 2007. The Emmy Award winning singer has one child, Bobbi Kristina, with husband Bobby Brown. She ended her 14-year marriage to Brown in 2006 after widespread media coverage of the couple's drug and alcohol abuse. Houston holds the Guinness World Record as the most awarded female act of all time. She is famous for her debut acting role in 1992 film The Bodyguard, which included the hit single "I will Always Love You". The song became the best-selling single by a female artist in music history at the time.
